What can you buy with 6 trillion dollars?

The Senate Republicans have released a coronavirus aid package valued at approximately 1 trillion dollars. This is on top of the previous 3 trillion dollar package. The original federal budget had a 2.7 trillion dollar deficet. That's not the total budget, that's how much they are in the red for 2020. Add all that together and the United States government is 6 trillion dollars in debt for one year of operation. That is an insane amount of money. How much you ask? 
1. You could buy Jeff Bezos 32 times. 
2. You could buy the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls outright and have enough left over to get a third of the Chicago Cubs. 
3. You could outbid Steve Cohen's offer for the Mets by $5,998,000,000,000. That many zeros makes my head hurt. 
4. You could buy 7,500,000 apartments in New York City. If you wanted farmland, you could buy Iowa and 60% of Illinois. 
5. You could fund an army 8 times the size of the United States'. (That includes all branches)
6. You could buy 85 million F350 dually pickups.
7. You could buy a Peloton bike and pay the monthly subscription for the next 150 billion months.
8. You could pay for Netflix for every living person in the US of A for the next 1200 months.
9. You could buy 50 acres on the private island Agios Thomas in the Mediterranean 35,000 times over.
10. You could pay off the entire student loan balance in the the US 4 times.

That's how much debt the government owes.
For 1 year. We are fucked. Get out and vote this fall and for the love of God do not vote for incumbents. They are idiots.

The 61 year old potato farmer that stunned the world.

Ladies and gentlemen, sit back and hear the story of  Cliff Young . He has seemed to enter the realm of half myth, half truth that surrounds all greats but his story is remarkable. Full disclosure: I got this story from a guest pastor at church Sunday. Here we go.  In 1983, people were gathered for the Australia ultra marathon. A 543 mile race from Sydney to Melbourne. Most competitors were in their twenties or thirties and had extensive training and corporate sponserships. Into this group walked a 61 year old man wearing faded overalls and rubber work boots. His name was Cliff Young. He was a sheep and potato farmer from just outside Melbourne. Most considered him a joke at best, delusional at worst. Several journalists questioned if he would survive. This is where the myth/truth comes into play. Some accounts have him running in overalls. Others say he wore windbreakers with holes cut by hand for ventilation. B1G has cancelled football.

 The B1G and PAC 12 have cancelled fall sports.  Here  is the B1G official statement. I have been thinking about this and getting steadily more upset ever since 1:45 PM. This is horrible. I have avoided really shitting on the COVID-19 media coverage too much because I didn't want to deal with the trolling and "yOu THinK cOroNavIruS iS faKe IF yOu qUEstioN anYthIng!" crowd. I am done. Bring on the trolls. This decision has nothing to do with the coronavirus. The B1G, as a whole, is not concerned about player safety per coronavirus. Nothing has changed in the overall COVID-19 numbers between when they announced the season schedule and when they cancelled. The schedule was announced August 5. Per the  CDC report release July 31  hospitalization rate was 130.1 per 100,000 and mortality rate was 8.4% if you include pneumonia, influenza, and COVID-19 deaths.
