So.... I came across this on Parler today. Left turn. If you aren't on Parler you should be. It's very entertaining. Back on track, this post just blew my mind. Accusing Stephen Colbert of raping, murdering, and eating a child to join a club? And wearing shoes made of said child's skin? There has to be a rabbit hole here. There has to be more than this random screen shot. So, in the interest of unbiased reporting and intellectual curiosity, I googled multiple searches to find out what this is about. There is nothing. Crickets. There is one, this Reddit thread which is a longer version of the above post. It also includes this,
which seems to contradict the whole murder and shoes made from children's skin narrative. I mean, if Tom Hanks bought you to get into this club, you're not alive, right? Me being me, I also googled the person who posted this. I found her Facebook and wow. I consider myself to be fairly right wing, anti government, and think several things labeled conspiracy theories are true, but she is out there. Some examples:
This lady is wayyyyyy out in the left field stands. Not even on the same field as the rest of us. Thank you, Parler, for giving us the content we didn't know we needed. And this was posted by RedWave2020. I have absolutely no idea why they thought this was relevant to the election or why the owner of the account didn't fact check before posting, but they should of. Also, if anyone has any legitimate info on why this is true lmk. Stay safe everyone, wash your hands, and let's watch some Cubs in 11 days.

The 61 year old potato farmer that stunned the world.

Ladies and gentlemen, sit back and hear the story of  Cliff Young . He has seemed to enter the realm of half myth, half truth that surrounds all greats but his story is remarkable. Full disclosure: I got this story from a guest pastor at church Sunday. Here we go.  In 1983, people were gathered for the Australia ultra marathon. A 543 mile race from Sydney to Melbourne. Most competitors were in their twenties or thirties and had extensive training and corporate sponserships. Into this group walked a 61 year old man wearing faded overalls and rubber work boots. His name was Cliff Young. He was a sheep and potato farmer from just outside Melbourne. Most considered him a joke at best, delusional at worst. Several journalists questioned if he would survive. This is where the myth/truth comes into play. Some accounts have him running in overalls. Others say he wore windbreakers with holes cut by hand for ventilation. B1G has cancelled football.

 The B1G and PAC 12 have cancelled fall sports.  Here  is the B1G official statement. I have been thinking about this and getting steadily more upset ever since 1:45 PM. This is horrible. I have avoided really shitting on the COVID-19 media coverage too much because I didn't want to deal with the trolling and "yOu THinK cOroNavIruS iS faKe IF yOu qUEstioN anYthIng!" crowd. I am done. Bring on the trolls. This decision has nothing to do with the coronavirus. The B1G, as a whole, is not concerned about player safety per coronavirus. Nothing has changed in the overall COVID-19 numbers between when they announced the season schedule and when they cancelled. The schedule was announced August 5. Per the  CDC report release July 31  hospitalization rate was 130.1 per 100,000 and mortality rate was 8.4% if you include pneumonia, influenza, and COVID-19 deaths.
