So I was perusing the interwebz today and found this headline. "Can Lava Kill The Coronavirus? An Investigation." I immediately looked for the babylonbee.com tag line. Nope, it's a real article by a real scientist and published in Forbes. With a question that is this fundamentally dumb you have no choice but to read it. Kinda interesting, full of useless science stuff and lots of big words. I will summarize, Lava kills the rona but if you try to drink it or inject it you will die. There ya go, now you know.

 The B1G and PAC 12 have cancelled fall sports.  Here  is the B1G official statement. I have been thinking about this and getting steadily more upset ever since 1:45 PM. This is horrible. Stimulus packages, government spending, and other tidbits.

 The big news today is that Trump has stopped negotiations on a stimulus package with Pelosi. If your not familiar with story, here are links to the  CNN story  and the  Fox News story , pick your flavor of kool aid. Now I could go into the whole he said, she said drama and whose fault is it and all that bullshit, but we are missing the bigger picture and no one is talking about it. The United States of America is bankrupt. We (the collective we) have no money. Picture this, a husband and wife are in the driveway of their house arguing. Behind them, the sheriff is changing the locks on the door and posting a foreclosure notice, the tow truck is in the driveway repossessing the cars, and the baby is crying because they have no formula. You ask the couple what they are arguing about and the husband replies "I want to donate $5,000 dollars to St. Jude, but she wants to donate $5,100." It's absolutely ridiculous. Polls are dumb.

I stumbled across this gem on Twitter today.  No link. No supporting data. Just a side note that it's from BerkeleyISG. Now, I don't think anyone will claim Berkeley is an unbiased organization so I fired up the google. I found the  poll referenced  in the above tweet and took a look at it. This is the breakdown of respondents to their online poll and how they voted. Some takeaways here in relation to polls being stupid. There were 100 respondents. One hundred. They were also all from California, a state that leans left. Of these 100 people, 48 identified as Democrats to only 26 Republican. 41 identified as Liberal to only 28 Conservative. 71 were from Coastal counties (historically more left leaning) vs 29 from the more historically right leaning inland counties.
