Fuck the news, all of it, except Hard Factor

So, as I am sure most of you are aware at Monday's press conference Dr. Fauci had a classic answer in the syle of the Rock's famous "It doesn't matter what your name is" where The Rock would just cut people off before they even got a sentence out. This was followed up by a death stare that was so cold Stone Cold himself would of retired and left the ring immediately if he would have seen it across the squared circle. So, now I'm gonna back up and do some background and then we are gonna get into it. Ready? Go!!!

Step 1.

 On Sunday during an interview with CNN Dr. Fauci was asked if starting mitigation measures (social distancing, closings, etc.) sooner would of saved lives. His answer was "Um yeah ya dumb fuck!!!". Ok, i paraphrased but he basically said that if we had known more sooner and started quarantine sooner it obviously would of helped.

Step 2.

CNN publishes a story based on the quote from Dr. Fauci that the Trump administration failed to act soon enough and fucking killed people. They also insinuated that everyone's favorite doc right now, Dr. Fauci, blamed President Trump for not acting fast enough.

Step 3.

Dr. Fauci makes a statement at Monday's presser. In this statement he explained that his answer was to a hypothetical question and taken out of context. He further explained that the president had enacted all recommendations from him and his team when they recommended them. Basically, calling CNN liars and saying President Trump had done the best he could with the information he had at the time.

Step 4. 

Reporter attempts to ask Dr. Fauci if the President had ordered him to make the statement clarifying his answer. She got as far as "Dr. Fauci, were you ordered to…" when the good doctor when full on Rock on her, cut her off and explained that no one orders him to do shit. He does what he wants. Followed by the death glare that woulda sent Stone Cold back to Texas faster than a speeding bullet had he been on the receiving end.

Step 5.

CNN runs a story Tuesday claiming the administration has been unprepared and handling COVID-19 horribly and cites the fact that President Trump ordered Dr. Fauci to walk back his comments from Sunday. They offered no source for this nugget despite the fact that Dr. Fauci denied it. They just printed it as fact.

So, that brings us to Tuesday night, where I am doing 12 oz curls and ripping cigs trying to control my blind rage at almost all news. This story is a perfect example of everything wrong with it. Now, I picked CNN for this example but for the record I hate all of them including Fox News. My point is shit like this doesn't help anything. It's actually harmful. This is why people think the rona is a hoax. They read stories like this that are obviously straight lies and assume everything is a lie. The more CNN publishes bullshit that anyone with a brain knows is bullshit the more people will ignore social distancing and other guidelines. On the other side of the coin is Fox News who believe President Trump is the messiah and can do no wrong. This point of view is also fucked. The government is always fucking shit up. It's what they do.  The federal government hasn't gotten a fucking thing right since they won WW2. Blindly assuming that just because it comes from the president's mouth it's gospel is almost as dangerous as claiming coronavirus is a hoax. There is a middle ground. Ima say it louder for the people in the back, THERE IS A MIDDLE GROUND. It is possible to think the mainstream media is full of shit while admitting that the coronavirus is real and dangerous. It is possible to think President Trump is doing a good job but that he is not the messiah and does make mistakes. Pull yourselves together people. Yank up the sweatpants, put on Netflix or Xbox, #LockupTurndown, and ignore the news other than my boys at Hard Factor. They know whats up. In closing, as always, stay home as much as you can, wash your hands, and listen to anything behind the words "The CDC recommends" because if I dont see Coach Ferentz leading the swarm in September I may die.
