THE NFL DRAFT IS HERE!!!
So I'm writing this as it happens, but before we get into it thank goodness for anything sports related. I'm so excited to have something live to watch. I'm watching the Barstool sports coverage which i highly recommend. Here we go!!
Number 1, Bengals: Joe Burrow, LSU
No surprise here, with Tua going down to injury and Burrow with his amazing season this was a no brainer.
Number 2, Redskins: Chase Young, OSU
Once again no surprise. Quote of the night: "I like a pass rusher named Chase." Brandon F. Walker. I wasn't surprised they picked him but I was surprised he went so high after terrible performances the last three games he played.
Number 3, Lions: Jeff Okudah, OSU
Solid pick for Detroit, OSU was dominant right up until the refs fucked them in the playoffs and Okudah was a big part of that.
Number 4, Giants: Andrew Thomas, Georgia
Wow. Did not see this coming. Most boards had him as number 3 tackle. Really thought we would see Wirfs out of Iowa here.
Number 5, Dolphins: Tua Taugliovia, some fucking school
Not a huge surprise, I though Herbert had a chance but I don't have access to Tua's medicals. Brandon and Frank the Tank are way too excited about this. Also surprised no trades yet...
Number 6, Chargers: Justin Herbert, Oregon
No surprise, again. It will be interesting if the plan is first year starter or if they gonna have him back up for a year. Fairly predictable draft so far.
Number 7, Panthers: Derrick Brown, Auburn
Carolina's biggest need was defense and they take a monster d-line guy. Kinda surprised Simmons is still on the board.
Number 8, Cardinals: Isiah Simmons, Clemson
Beast of an athlete, unmatched raw talent. Surprised he went 8. Not surprised that no WR are off the board.
Number 9, Jaguars: CJ Henderson, Florida
I have no info other than Barstool says he is "not a god tackler" but I'm pretty sure God doesn't play in the NFL so he be okay.
Number 10, Browns: Jedrick Wills, some fucking school
Surprised this guy went ahead of Wirfs, but Cleveland has the weapons on offense and that makes o-line the obvious pick.
Number 11, Jets: Mekhi Becton, Louisville
How the fuck is Wirfs still on the board? Record setting combine and 2 tackles go ahead of him? I'm kinda shocked.
Number 12, Raiders: Henry Ruggs, some fucking school
Solid pick for the Raiders. He has speed and talent. This also has implications regarding the Derrick Carr situation.
Number 13, Niners: Trade to Bucs for #14
Number 13, Bucs: Tristan Wirfs, THE University of Iowa
"A John Deere tractor wearing nike shoes" This kid is a beast and I have no idea how he went 13th. In my opinion the Bucs gained two wins on the projection side.
Number 14, Niners(from Bucs): Javon Kinlaw, South Carolina
This allows the Niners to clear up cap space, but kinda surprised they didn't grab a reciever.
Number 15, Broncos: Jerry Jeudy, some fucking school
Solid choice to give their offense some weopons. Not surprising he went ahead of Lamb considering Lamb didn't face defense in college.
Number 16, Falcons: AJ Terrell, Clemson
Surprises keep coming, really thought a reciever would go here but the kid is good.
Number 17, Cowboys: CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma
Welcome to Dallas, sir, maybe you can save Dak from himself and make it look like he was worth 31 mill.
Number 18, Dolphins: Austin Jackson, USC
Solid choice to invest in protection for Tua. Miami might be scary in 2021.
"If he went to Dan Quayle high school he would spell potato with an E" -Framk the Tank
Number 19, Raiders: Damon Arnette, OSU
Adds a weapon on defense. Interesting choice considering the talent still on the board. ESPN talking him up but still feels like a reach
Number 20, Jaguars: K'Lavon Chaisson, LSU
Again surprised that they didn't go higher nut if you want defense here then this is the pick. But, just saying Espeneza is still available.
Number 21, Eagles: Jalen Reagor, TCU
Why the fuck do you not take Jefferson here? I don't have access to the same things NFL GMs do but what the fuck.
Number 22, Vikings: Justin Jefferson, LSU
A gift for Minnesota. He shouldn't of been on the board.
Number 23, Chargers(from Patriots): Kenneth Murray, Oklahoma
Not sure if worth the trade up, but they already got their QB so now give Bosa some help on D.
Number 24, Saints: Cesar Ruiz, Michigan
O-line help for a team that doesn't need anything. Ecpect him to be developed.
Number 25, Vikings: Trade to Niners
Number 25, Niners: Brandon Aiyuk, ASU
Picking up a weapon to play opposite Kittle
I like it.
Number 26, Dolphins: Trade to Packers
Number 26, Packers: Jordan Love, Utah State
Aaron Rodgers is on the clock, 1 year? 2? Good riddance.
Number 27, Seahawks: Jordyn Brooks, Texas Tech
I have nothing.
Number 28, Ravens: Patrick Queen, LSU
Best talent on the board but maybe go AJ?
Number 29, Titans: Isiah Wilson, Georgia
Why is AJ still on the board?
Number 30, Dolphins: Noah Igbinoghene, Auburn
Still not AJ
Number 31, Vikings: Jeff Gladney, TCU
Still not AJ
Number 32, Chiefs: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, LSU
Surprised AJ didn't go, still.
In conclusion, AJ on the board is a surprise. Also.. this blog is shit, thanks for reading this far.
